I've Got a Confession to Make...

Sometimes I feel like a 12 year old boy stuck inside the body of a 40 year old woman! Need some convincing? Here are a few things I really like...

I say all of that to tell you that I just watched every episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and it was freakin AWESOME!

It all started when I finally watched the M. Night Shyamalan movie The Last Airbender. I'd seen a preview and was intrigued by the premise of the movie. So I watched it, and was unfortunately disappointed (hello bad casting and acting!) But a few things pushed me to watch the TV series...

1. I knew the movie was based on an anime style cartoon series
2. I was STILL intrigued by the premise
3. The movie was meant to be a trilogy, so there was a major cliff hanger and I wanted to know what happened!

Wanting some closure I Netflixed season one, and started watching. I was hooked. Unlike the movie, the series was funny, engaging, and the characters had real depth (not something I was expecting from a cartoon). As of today, I've watched to entire series...and I can admit that I wept like a baby during the finale when we find out if Aang and his friends defeat Fire Lord Ozai.

So feed the 12 year old boy inside you! Go watch some Avatar: The Last Airbender!
